Dr. Murad Wins ISPA Visionary Award

The International Spa Association (ISPA) recently awarded Dr. Murad the 2009 ISPA Visionary Award. The ISPA Visionary Award recognizes breakthrough contributions to the world of spa and contributions to the wellness fields on a global scale. The audience was on its feet when Dr. Murad accepted the award.

“Dr. Howard Murad has set the bar for clinically proven skincare, health spas and science-driven wellness in general,” said ISPA Chairman Jean Kolb. “He has literally helped shape an entire industry throughout his career and we are proud to recognize him for his significant contributions.”

Dr. Murad is a true visionary with the launch of the Murad Inclusive Health Spa™ and his continuing skincare innovations. And it’s fitting that Dr. Murad was awarded this year, 2009, the 20th anniversary of Murad. Congratulations!

Signs of Fall’s Arrival

In other parts of the country, there is one tell-tale sign of fall’s arrival: autumn foliage. Here in Southern California, however, we don’t get much of that. But we do have crisp air, shorter days and fall collections at department stores—all indications that fall has arrived. And yesterday, as I walked through the office, I noticed another sign that fall is here: boots. Walking up and down the hall, standing in the break room, underneath desks, there they were: boots. Brown, black, and tan—Southern California’s version of foliage. So what better way to welcome the season of snuggly sweaters, fashionable scarves and dark nail polish than with a photo op? Goodbye summer (and summer shorts) and hello autumn!
