Five Places to Stash Skin Care Products

Half the battle to maintaining healthy skin is simply having the skin care products you need, when you need them. While it goes without saying that you should keep a complete set of your daily skin care regimen in your washroom or bathroom, there are actually several other places where it’s wise to “stash” your skin care products. Here are five more places to make sure you’ve got backup skin care products for touch-ups or treatments whenever you need them.

In Your Gym Bag or Gym Locker
Almost everybody showers or cleans up after a workout or sports practice. If you’re relying on packing and unpacking your skin care products from your gym bag each day, chances are there will be times when you’re caught off guard without the skin care products you need. Also, you may want to consider keeping gentler, milder cleansers and products in your gym bag or locker. It’s recommended that you wash your face just twice daily, so in order to avoid stripping essential oil and moisture from your skin, consider using milder products for those extra cleanses at the gym.

In Your Car
Much like it’s important to keep an emergency kit in your trunk, it’s also important to keep an emergency skin care kit in your car! You never know when you’re going to be stuck in traffic and running late with oily skin. A simple makeup bag with a moisturizer, Murad Hydrating Toner, some blotting papers or oil mattifier and an eye cream can keep you fully stocked with skin care essentials wherever the road takes you.

In Your School Locker
Teenage skin can often be particularly oily and acne-prone. Keep your essential acne treatment products in your school locker. Don’t forget some blotting paper, an acne blemish concealer and Murad Acne Spot Treatment so you can prevent and treat blemishes even as you feel them forming.

In Your Purse
You carry a makeup bag in your purse, so why not carry a skin care bag as well? You won’t need much. If your skin is oily, carry a mattifier and blotting paper. If your skin is acne-prone, carry an acne spot treatment. If your skin is dry, carry a travel-size moisturizer. And no matter what your skin type, have an eye cream and lip treatment handy to infuse moisture.

In Your Office Desk Drawer
The fluorescent lights and dry air of most office environments can take their toll on skin. Keep a collection of your favorite skin care touch-up products in your desk drawer for a midday refresh. We all spend too many hours at work—nourish your skin with a five- or ten-minute break during the workday.

Being prepared is half of the battle when it comes to healthy, glowing skin. Make sure that your skin care arsenal is fully stocked, no matter where you may be!
