10 Things To Do While Applying A Face Mask

An essential part of any good skin care regimen is a face mask, but in this busy day and age we hear many women complaining that they just don’t have time to include a mask in their acne treatment, anti-aging treatment or combination skin treatment regimen. To that end, we’ve created this handy list of ten ways that you can multi-task while applying your facial mask.

Now, it should be noted that we believe that taking time out for yourself to rest and relax is important not only to your skin care program but also to your overall health. Face masks were designed to be a “time out” to enjoy your skin care regimen, and we think that they should be used in that way. However, if you simply can’t clear the time to enjoy 10 minutes of quiet time while applying your at home facial, then here are ten great ways to double your value by multi-tasking!

1. Read: Reading is probably another thing that you often say that you don’t have time to do. Why not double up and enjoy 10 minutes of uninterrupted reading while your face mask is on?

At Home Facial Tips and How-To

Here’s how!

Select a Soothing Facial Mask
Of course, the starting point to any good at-home spa facial is to select
a great facial mask. Our favorite for overall experience is the Murad Pomegranate Exfoliating Mask, which smells great and is perfect for every skin type. However, you may want a clarifying mask as part of an acne treatment plan, an Intensive Resurfacing Peel for anti-aging skin care, or even our own spa’s Vitamin C Facial Kit. You may even want to combine several of these masks together for a longer effect.

Set the Mood for Your Home Spa
You want to feel like you’re treating yourself in a spa, not like you’re sitting on your couch waiting for your face mask to dry! Indulge in a new robe (you can use it again the next time you do an at-home facial night), a relaxing CD (or music download), some fresh flowers and some soothing candles. Turn your living room into a temporary spa. You’d be surprised what some mood lightening and flowers can do!
