Though they’re available all year long in most stores, pomegranates are in season from September to January. When selecting a pomegranate, look for a deeply colored one that feels heavy and is free of cracks and soft spots. If you’re planning on keeping pomegranates around for a while, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and they should last for up to a month.
